Karin has had many careers — teacher, marketing executive, investment advisor and real estate appraiser to name a few. She went to law school in her 50s and opened her solo practice upon passing the California bar. Karin soon discovered that Family Law would be her practice area and sought about perfecting her skills. In 2009 Karin returned to Washington setting up her family law practice in Kirkland focusing on dissolving marriages in a cooperative manner, maintaining privacy and minimizing emotional trauma.

Karin is the author of Six-Word Lessons for a Peaceful Divorce, a board member of the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce and Kirkland Performance Center, and a proud grandmother.

The way we treat Mother Earth is indicative of the state and future of our health and well-being; attendees will learn how the recycling industry is changing and how evolving to a zero waste lifestyle is critical to combating the plastic crisis to reversing the effects of climate change.
